Is it even possible to fly under the radar if you sport a 44.5 inch vertical leap? Hamidou Diallo is testing that theory, but it won’t last for long – with the 2018/2019 NBA season underway, the League is about to take note of the 20-year-old from Flushing, Queens.
Hami is joining the Under Armour basketball family with the physical tools to match any wing in the League. His time on the Under Armour Association (UAA) circuit in 2015 saw him average 22.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per game. He participated in Under Armour's 2015 SC30 Select Camp with Stephen Curry as his mentor, as well as the 2015 NBPA Top 100 Camp and the 2016 Elite 24 showcase, in which he was one of three MVPs. Each time, Hami put in work and proved he can excel against the best. He'll now have the opportunity to show the world what he's made of as a key player of the Oklahoma City Thunder, alongside teammate and fellow Under Armour athlete Terrance Ferguson.
Starting the season in the HOVR Havoc Low, which uses HOVR cushioning to harness and return energy in every explosive leap, it’s only a matter of time before the high-flying GIFs of Hami dominate NBA Twitter night after night. Then, the rest of the world will finally catch up to what we already know… the kid from Queens is ready to unleash chaos, and the Association is officially on notice.
