Under Armour and A$AP Rocky Release SRLo Sneaker

Under Armour and A$AP Rocky Release SRLo Sneaker

After releasing just 500 pairs at a pop-up event in New York City this September, the limited-edition SRLo sneaker is set to drop Wednesday, November 14 on www.UA.com and www.AWGE.com

The Under Armour SRLo – presented by AWGE and A$AP Rocky – will release across two colorways, triple black and black/cream, and retail for $250 in the U.S. and across Europe beginning at 10 a.m. ET. Japan will drop pairs beginning at 7 p.m. ET.

A$AP Rocky announced the exclusive release via his Instagram page.

Inspired by ‘90s skate and rave culture, A$AP Rocky and Under Armour teamed up with former pro skater and footwear designer Dave Mayhew to bring Rocky’s design to life, resurrecting a silhouette that went from hometown skate shops to being coveted by celebrities and the mainstream.

The only rule in the process? No rules. A first-of-its-kind celebrity collaboration for Under Armour, the brand offered Rocky complete artistic control.

The SRLo - Skate, Rave, Lo - totes a mixed material upper, a reflective lacing system, and a midsole featuring UA HOVR, the brand’s signature proprietary cushioning platform. Staying true to UA’s performance DNA, this makes the SRLo both lightweight and crazy comfortable.

Mayhew first designed the boundary-pushing sneaker that the SRLo is modeled after – the D3 – about 20 years ago when bulkiness was in high demand. While working with Rocky and the Under Armour team, Mayhew was amazed at their ability to take things to another level. For more on the shoe's DNA, visit www.UA.com
