In January, the world was treated to a “Super Blood Wolf Moon” – a total lunar eclipse during the first full moon of the year. That incredibly rare, almost once-in-a-lifetime celestial view, is the inspiration behind the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine uniforms designed by Under Armour, now in its 10th year, for the 300 NFL prospects who will have one of their last opportunities to make an impression on scouts at the NFL Combine.
The Super Blood Wolf Moon’s orange hue with purple accents that danced in the black of night come to life in this year’s NFL Scouting Combine uniform. The graphic accents spotted throughout the breathable, moisture-wicking compression shirts and leggings, loose fit tees and shorts, allude to the motion and glow that radiated off of the moon during the total lunar eclipse. The uniform is rounded out by the super lightweight, sock-like fit of the UA Spotlight MC and UA Spotlight 40 cleats that will also incorporate the orange and purple warmth.
NFL Combine participants will pass through Indianapolis from February 26 to March 4. The invite-only event will split participants into 11 position groups. They will go through four days of medical, psychological and physical testing in front of representatives from all 32 NFL teams.
