The UA Forge 96 sneaker is back, kicking off spring with the introduction of UA Sportstyle's Season II product line. The first chapter of this follow-up collection includes three new colorways of the Forge 96, as captured for the lookbook by award-winning Baltimore-based photographer Devin Allen. This season, he followed an ultra-creative group of all Baltimore natives working across disciplines that define the energy, creativity and free spirit of the city.
Corey Wash is both a multi-disciplinary artist and model, working in photography, painting, drawing and installation. Geordan Briscoe works in art digitization at the James E. Lewis Museum of Art on the campus of Morgan State University in Baltimore. Jacob Marley is founder of the creative platform Blush + Brews and event series Bollymore. Linae Bullock is an actress and painter, who was also featured in the first UA Forge 96 lookbook alongside Soduh. Soduh is a creative and a rapper who chronicles the day-to-day of his hometown through his music.
The UA Forge 96 evolves this year with bold color blocking and leather, nubuck, mesh and reflective film materials. Releasing globally on February 8, the first pack of the UA Forge 96 retails for $120 USD and will be sold in limited quantities across three colorways – barley/black, aqua foam/mod grey and impulse pink/jet grey – at UA.com and select retail partners.
About the UA Forge 96
Since 1996, Under Armour has been steadfast in its mission to elevate athlete performance product, and the UA Forge 96 celebrates that legacy with a reimagined approach to footwear. The UA Forge 96 showcases nineties-inspired design elevated through modern materials, featuring a reflective framework outfitted with premium leathers, soft suedes, and panels of technical mesh for strategic ventilation. The upper is then placed atop an EVA foam midsole with a molded TPU heel stabilizer and a classic lace system.
The UA Forge 96 releases from Under Armour’s UA Sportstyle category that launched last summer with the introduction of this new footwear silhouette. UA Sportstyle aims to adapt Under Armour’s athletic legacy into new and upcoming lines of apparel and footwear at the intersection of performance and style.
