Under Armour Adds Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen to Golf Roster for 2025 Season

Under Armour is proud to announce the signing of Denmark’s Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen, one of the DP World Tour’s brightest emerging talents, who will wear the brand’s performance apparel and footwear on and off the golf course in 2025.

The 25-year-old joins the global UA Golf roster having burst onto the professional scene in 2024 following a highly decorated amateur and collegiate career. Unveiled at the brand's Golf Performance Centre at Stoke Park in London, Rasmus underwent UA’s unique footwear optimization process in the game changing UA Drive Pro spiked footwear as part of his introduction to the UA family.

During his footwear optimization – which utilises a proprietary combination of Biomecaforce AI-driven Force Plates, Launch Monitor Data, and SIDAS Podiatech technology – the Dane saw an increase in clubhead speed of 2.5mph with a 5-iron and an increase in peak vertical force of 5%, due to the UA Drive Pro promoting better grounding through impact and optimizing his ability to create sheer force in his swing.

“Today’s process demonstrates clearly there are significant performance gains to be had from wearing the right footwear. It gives me absolute confidence that the team at UA is building the best performance footwear in the game and I’m incredibly excited to represent the brand and start wearing the Drive Pro in competition.”

He kicked off the season in UA outfitting at the Dubai Desert Classic where he competed wearing UA Drive Pants, a combination of Drive Chill and Playoff Polos, and Drive Midlayer styles. All head-to-toe looks were completed with the UA Drive Pro Golf Shoes on foot.

The signing marks the third major player to join the global UA Golf Roster since the start of 2024, alongside the other exciting young talents of Christo Lamprecht and Kris Kim, as well as PGA Tour winner Maverick McNealy and 3-time major champion Jordan Spieth on team UA.

“We are very excited that Rasmus will join the growing Under Armour golf roster. You need to be a special talent to win on the Challenge Tour three times and to top the rankings in 2024. We know Rasmus is just getting started and we will ensure to equip him with the latest apparel and footwear innovations, so that he has no distractions when it counts.”

- Kevin Ross, Managing Director of EMEA at Under Armour

The Oklahoma State University graduate won twice and was named an All-American in his college career. On turning pro, the 2017 Danish Junior Champion and two-time German international Amateur Champion became the first player in 6 years to earn an automatic DP World Tour card for 2025 by claiming 3 wins in the space of a year on the Challenge Tour. By winning the Kolkata Challenge, UAE Challenge and Big Green Egg German Challenge, he became one of only 14 players in history to earn their card by this route.

A strong team player as evidenced by winning the 2017 European Boys’ Team Championship for Denmark, as well as the 2022 Arnold Palmer Cup for the International Team, the Dane kicked off the 2025 season as part of the Continental Europe side in the Team Cup.

Having finished the 2024 season inside the top 100 of the Official World Golf Ranking and with four top 10 finishes to his name on the DP World Tour already, with his most recent top 10 coming at the season opening Omega Dubai Desert Classic last week, 2025 promises to be an incredibly exciting year for Rasmus.
