STEPHEN CURRY HAS DONE IT AGAIN – THE GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS STAR SECURES 2022 NBA CHAMPIONSHIP VICTORY AND FINALS MVP TITLE

Another milestone year is in the books for Warriors point guard Stephen Curry. The two-time NBA MVP led Golden State to a 103-90 victory over the Boston Celtics in Game 6 of the NBA Finals, earning his fourth NBA Championship title. Stephen finished the series with 34 points in last night’s game alone, including seven assists, seven rebounds and six 3-pointers, cementing himself as the NBA Finals MVP – a first for the all-time 3-point leader.

The 2021-2022 NBA season has been a standout one for Curry. He started the season on a high as he eclipsed Ray Allen for the most 3-pointers in NBA history in December. And on the heels of being named to the NBA 75th Anniversary team, Curry proved his talents with a notable win in the NBA All-Star Game, where he was named All-Star MVP for his record performance. It goes without saying that Curry has been on a roll when it comes to 3-pointers this season. To capitalize on that, Curry Brand launched basketball-inspired NFTs – or NF3s – linked to Stephen’s on-court performance during the playoffs. Fans were offered the chance to claim one NF3 per digital wallet, per game, each time Stephen sunk a postseason three-pointer.

Curry’s playoffs run has been nothing short of remarkable, with unwavering performances game after game from the all-star. Throughout the postseason, Curry averaged 27 points, 5.1 rebounds and 5.8 assists per game. He also became the first player in NBA history to make 500 career postseason three-pointers during his Game 4 matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies last month. But he couldn’t do it alone. Thanks to teammates like Klay Thompson, Andre Iguodala, Draymond Green and many more, Curry and the rest of the Warriors fought back against the Celtics’ overpowering size and physicality to come back on top in the series after a couple of frustrating losses.

As always, Curry’s seamless season was done in style. Throughout the 2021-2022 season, Curry has been rocking his signature footwear – the Curry Flow 9. The C9 is a staple in the basketball star’s footwear lineup, providing him with unprecedented traction and superior defense and recovery benefits.

Fans tuning into the 2022 postseason likely noticed Stephen sporting the Curry 4 FloTro in a light purple colorway, a nod to the signature Curry 4 model – a crowd favorite among Curry and sneaker fans alike and, most notably, the shoe he was wearing when he secured his second of what is now four NBA Championship titles back in 2017. The Curry 4 FloTro is built on the UA Flow platform, combining the light, grippy speed of Curry 9’s Flow cushioning technology with the iconic silhouette of the Curry 4. Fans of the FloTro should keep their eyes peeled for releases taking place later this summer.

While Curry’s grit and determination on the court is hard to miss on the big screen, he’s also been hard at work off the court. Since launching Curry Brand in December 2020 in partnership with Under Armour,  Curry has impacted more than 31,000 youth athletes by creating safe places to playtraining coaches and supporting new programming at courts across the country.

“We couldn’t be prouder of Stephen’s incredible achievements this season, and especially his MVP performance in this year’s Finals run,” said Ryan Drew, GM of Curry Brand at Under Armour. “On and off the court, he continues to reach new heights of success, inspiring all of us with his intentional efforts to impact others and change the game for good.”

Congratulations to Stephen and the Golden State Warriors from the entire UA family.
