Christo Lamprecht Claims First Professional Victory at Pinnacle Bank Championship

The rising South African standout delivers a dramatic finish to secure his Korn Ferry Tour breakthrough

Christo Lamprecht’s rise in professional golf has hit a major milestone. With a dramatic birdie from the greenside bunker on the 18th hole at Indian Creek Golf Club, the 24-year-old South African clinched his first professional victory and Korn Ferry Tour title at the Pinnacle Bank Championship, finishing at 19-under 265. After holing out, he and his cousin Christian, who has been on his bag since turning pro, celebrated with a spontaneous double-club toss, a moment that captured the joy and gravity of the win.

“This is kind of the moment you dream about growing up. Standing over a shot with everything on the line and trusting yourself to pull it off."

"I wasn’t sure if it would drop or just hang on the edge, but watching it fall and hearing the crowd erupt was unreal. This win is a huge step forward in my career, and I’m proud how I stayed patient, trusted my game, and allowed everything to come together at the right time.”

The victory marks a full-circle moment for Lamprecht, who joined the Under Armour family last year after an illustrious amateur career. At Georgia Tech, he was a three-time All-American, 2024 ACC Player of the Year, and the top-ranked amateur in the world. Lamprecht also made headlines as the low amateur at the 2023 Open Championship, showcasing his ability to compete on golf’s biggest stages.

Throughout the week, Lamprecht relied on Under Armour’s performance-driven gear to stay cool, confident, and focused. His tournament looks included various UA Playoff Polos and UA Drive Pants, both designed with premium 4-way stretch and moisture-wicking materials. Lamprecht’s apparel was complemented by the UA Drive Pro Golf Shoes, feature Under Armour’s groundbreaking 3-layer Swing Support System TM that was developed with world-renowned golf biomechanist JJ Rivet and built to enhance the natural movement of the golf swing. These shoes are engineered to provide the traction, and diagonal and lateral support golfers need to unlock the power of their natural swing, helping add both distance and control.

“That trust showed up in a big way this week. I was able to stay locked in, play freely, and perform at a high level from start to finish which made all the difference in coming out on top.”

As he continues to build his professional legacy, his partnership with Under Armour remains rooted in shared values of innovation, family, and performance.

“Christo’s first professional victory is a reflection of the dedication and competitive fire he’s carried with him since day one.”

“From the moment he joined our family, we’ve seen how grounded and driven he is, and it’s been inspiring to watch him translate that into strong performance on the course. We’re proud to stand behind Christo as he continues to shape his path and elevate the game.”
