Armour Day, Under Armour's global day of service and celebration, kicked off on a high note this year with the dedication of UA's state-of-the-art Omni Distribution House (ODH). A 1.3 million square foot distribution and warehouse facility, the ODH sits on the former site of Bethlehem Steel at Sparrows Point in Baltimore County, Maryland.
The opening ceremony was attended by Under Armour Chairman and CEO Kevin Plank, Maryland Governor Larry Hogan, Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski, Under Armour President and Chief Operating Officer Patrik Frisk, Under Armour Chief Supply Chain Officer Colin Browne, Under Armour VP of North America Distribution Houses Billy Werner, Baltimore Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh, and NFL Hall of Fame member and businessman Ray Lewis.
The ODH is integral to Under Armour’s global supply chain and an important step in the company’s drive to operational excellence. In addition to directly employing 2,600 teammates in Baltimore, the facility represents economic growth in Baltimore County and the surrounding area for years to come.
Following the opening, more than 2000 Baltimore-based teammates spread across the ODH to participate in giveback activities benefiting 20 community partners. For 2019, Under Armour will have 24 Armour Day celebrations spanning 14 countries, with teammates coming together from 30 cities.
