Under Armour’s Celebrates 21st Annual ‘Armour Day’ with Community Service Across the City Of Baltimore

On Monday, September 15, Under Armour celebrated its 21st annual ‘Armour Day’, a day where Under Armour employees come together for the purpose of community service to positively impact the brand’s hometown of Baltimore. More than 1,000 Under Armour teammates participated in various volunteer efforts at 13 locations across the city.  This year’s activities continue to build on Under Armour’s long-standing partnership with Baltimore City Public Schools through Project Rampart, a strategic initiative designed to enhance the student-athlete experience and drive academic success through the power of sport.

Armour Day 2025 kicked off with a city-wide school revitalization effort across five Baltimore city public high schools to foster more vibrant learning environments for local students. The largest renovation took place at Carver Vocational Technical High School with the support of IMPACT Fitness Foundation (IFF). A select group of top-performing Under Armour volunteers from 2024 joined forces to transform an underused wrestling space and storage area into a state-of-the-art weightroom for Carver’s athletic teams. To celebrate in the unveiling, Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott, CEO of Baltimore City Public Schools Sonja Santelises, Under Armour Founder & CEO Kevin Plank, Curry Brand President, Stephen Curry, and Under Armour Golf Athlete, Jordan Spieth surprised Carver student-athletes with remarks on the power of sport.

“Under Armour has such a huge presence globally but also within the city of Baltimore."

"To be able to have a day where the entire Under Armour team gets to go across the city, bring great energy and deploy resources to create something tangible for these kids to utilize every day, it's amazing. You can feel their energy, and that's what it's all about. I’m glad to be a part of it this year and see the impact firsthand.”

Stephen Curry

President of Curry Brand

In collaboration with Heart of America, teammates engaged in revitalization efforts across four schools—The REACH! Partnership School, Academy for College and Career Exploration, City Neighbors High School, and Reginald F. Lewis High School. Ranging from mural painting to landscaping, teammates helped create more welcoming and inspiring school environments. Teammates also coordinated sports clinics and career panels for students  to inspire them on and off the field.

“Armour Day is all about bringing our team together and making a difference in our home city. We have more than 1,000 Under Armour teammates deployed in 13 different locations across the city giving back."

"The impact work that takes place on Armour Day demonstrates the love that this brand has for our community, especially our Project Rampart athletes, and our commitment to Baltimore. Under Armour is proud of being of this city and days like today show who we really are as a brand.”

Kevin Plank

Under Armour Founder and CEO

Back at its global headquarters at Baltimore Peninsula, Under Armour teammates also hosted a flag football skills and drills clinic run in partnership with USA Football for the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and National Academy Foundation High School flag football teams. Held at UA’s stadium on campus, the clinic offered student athletes a chance to sharpen their flag football skills and gear up for the upcoming seasoncomplete with a fresh pair of Under Armour cleats.

"Our collaboration on Armour Day is all about purpose — bringing together passionate Under Armour team members from across the organization to give back and make a lasting impact in their communities.

Together, we’ve seen the real needs of Baltimore’s schools — and this project exemplifies Heart of America's dedication to making learning spaces brighter across Baltimore, in every way we can."

Jill Hardy Heath, President and CEO, Heart of America

Under Armour teammates spread out to seven additional locations throughout the city to support Baltimore City student athletes and other community initiatives. Teammates helped the UA House at Fayette and the Boys and Girls Club of Central Maryland to prepare for the upcoming school year. At Leveling The Playing Field, teammates sorted equipment donations in support of their mission to redistribute equipment to expand access and equity within youth sports and recreation programs in under-resourced communities. Teammates also visited Junior Achievement of Central Maryland to assist with projects supporting their mission to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. At UA’s distribution house at Sparrows Point in Baltimore County, teammates packed pre-game nutrition bags that will be distributed to student athletes participating in Project Rampart this fall. Teammates also packed bags for veterans supported through the Wounded Warrior Project and trained with Team Rubicon to learn how to support their communities during times of disaster.

During the afternoon, Under Armour hosted an appreciation event for teammates at its headquarters. This tradition dates back to 2004, when Under Armour teammates attended “Employee Night at the Yard,” an appreciation night at a Baltimore Orioles baseball game. What began as a simple night at Camden Yards has grown into a full-day celebration of service, sport, and teammate appreciation—embodying UA’s values of Love Athletes and Celebrate the Wins.
