Under Armour Basketball Introduces the Fox 3

De’Aaron Fox’s Third Signature Sneaker is Built for Explosive Speed and Full-Stop Control
Fox 3

De’Aaron Fox plays at a pace few can match. His game is defined by a lightning-quick first step, elite end-to-end speed and the ability to stop on a dime, turning full-speed attacks into controlled finishes, kickouts and game-changing plays. The Under Armour Fox 3 was built to meet that exact demand: a lightweight performance basketball shoe engineered for players who move fast, stop hard and strike when the opportunity presents itself.

De’Aaron’s third signature basketball shoe, the Fox 3 is tailored to enhance his style of play: explosive speed with the control to brake, plant and attack again. That balance between speed and control is the foundation of this sneaker, and every element is designed to support the dynamic nature of his game.

Lighter than its predecessor at just 11.9 ounces, the Fox 3 has evolved in design and construction to give athletes like De’Aaron an edge. A lightweight mesh upper helps secure the foot without adding unnecessary weight, giving players the containment they need through hard cuts and lateral movement. Across the upper, a textured fox-tail-inspired graphic nods to De’Aaron’s name and captures the sense of speed and motion that defines his game.

Underfoot, a Charged midsole is paired with a TPU shank to help deliver responsive cushioning and stability through quick bursts, sudden stops and explosive first steps. Lateral and medial cutouts in the midsole expose the internal Charged foam, reducing weight while giving a visible look at the cushioning system inside. The sneaker is anchored by a decoupled high abrasion Flow outsole, separating the heel and forefoot to better support both quick acceleration and hard stops.

De’Aaron’s logo adorns the tongue of the shoe, while a UA logo marks the heel. The outsole also features the names of De’Aaron’s wife and children — Recee, Reign and Poppy — continuing the ode to his family that started with the Fox 2.

“Every version of my signature shoe has gotten better because we keep learning from how I move and what I need on the court. With the Fox 3, we refined the design, optimizing it to feel light, comfortable and responsive right away. It’s a shoe that can keep up with my speed and let me stop and go in an instant but still has those personal details that are important to me. I’m really proud of this shoe and excited to play in this upcoming season.”

“The Fox 3 is a great example of how a signature shoe should evolve over time — shaped by the athlete’s game, improved through ongoing feedback and built to meet what they need in real competition. With De’Aaron, every refinement is rooted in how he moves: his speed, his control and the demands he puts on a shoe. We’re proud of the performance updates in the Fox 3 and will continue building footwear that supports his incredible talent on court.”

With the Fox 3, De’Aaron’s game comes full circle: speed, control and personality all built into one signature model. Launching first in the “Gamer” colorway, which he debuted during the 2026 NBA Playoffs, the shoe pays homage to his off-court passion for video games. Inspired by the bright colors associated with different video game controllers, “Gamer” stands out on court with pops of blue, pink and neon green, and shapes on the tongue that nod to controller buttons across gaming consoles. Together, those details set the tone for the latest chapter of De’Aaron’s signature line by bringing his favorite things to the forefront.
