Under Armour and UNLESS Collective Unveil Regenerative Earth Day Capsule, “Earth Essentials”
This Earth Day, Under Armour and UNLESS Collective introduce “Earth Essentials”, a new capsule that reinforces what the collaboration has stood for from the beginning: clothing should do more than look good or feel good. It should add value to your everyday life, wardrobe, and the planet.
Continuing UNLESS’ commitment to regenerative design, Earth Essentials spans shirts, hoodies, and shorts made entirely from plants and designed to return safely to the Earth through UNLESS’ Take Back Program. At its core is a simple, powerful idea: regenerative, zero-plastic fashion doesn’t belong to corporate checklists or once-a-year symbolism. It’s bigger than that — built to be sought ‑after, lived in, and part of the rhythm of everyday life.
"Earth Day is often framed around fixing damage. "
"We wanted to focus on how we could add more good. When something is thoughtfully made, plastic-free, and built to return to the Earth, it shouldn’t feel like a compromise. It should feel like the obvious next step.”
Eric Liedtke, UNLESS founder and Under Armour Chief Marketing Officer, EVP Strategy
Designed in partnership with multidisciplinary artist Nathaniel Russell, the capsule features two slogans in his signature style — “Plant Earth” and “Earthness.” Hand-drawn, imperfect, and alive, each piece feels like something found, not manufactured. The playful design language reflects the belief that Earth Day can be about creation, not correction, and that the planet — just like a plant — can be nurtured so its future grows brighter than its present.
The capsule includes hoodies, tees, and shorts in unisex silhouettes, all crafted from 100% premium-weight Pima cotton, garment dyed with vibrant, nontoxic, water-safe colors. Free from any synthetic plastic-based materials, each piece is thoughtfully designed to return to the Earth at the end of its useful life, without compromising comfort, style, or performance.
The launch builds on the momentum of UNLESS Collective and Under Armour’s Zero-P Swap, a new April challenge encouraging people to replace one plastic item in their everyday lives with a plastic-free alternative and challenge someone else to do the same. The message is simple: one small swap, multiplied through community, creates real impact.
The capsule is available to shop now at underarmour.com and select UA Brand Houses.
