Save & Close Jordan Thompson and Under Armour Host First Collegiate Volleyball Camp
Jordan Thompson and Under Armour hosted its fifth-annual Jordan Thompson (JT) Rise Academy volleyball camp, which focused on the development and mentorship of collegiate athletes for the first time. The first collegiate-focused academy provided a highly-curated experience and a premier development platform for some of volleyball’s top female athletes preparing to take the next step toward the professional level.
Since launching in 2022, the JT Rise Academy has provided young athletes with access to volleyball training, coaching, and performance insights. Over its first five years, the camp annually provided 40 high school athletes with the opportunity to receive hands-on instruction, skill development, and direct mentorship from Jordan.
In 2026, the camp entered a new phase, intentionally designed by Jordan, to bridge the gap she experienced during her own collegiate career, navigating the challenges of being a student-athlete while preparing for the future.

Elevating the Collegiate Game
This year’s JT Rise Academy hosted 14 top collegiate volleyball players for a three-day immersive experience, combining personalized skill development with professional-level preparation. The new format emphasized both on-court performance and off-court readiness, equipping athletes with tools to navigate the evolving landscape of college sports and prepare themselves for the next level. Through position-specific coaching, advanced training sessions, and mentorship from Jordan and an elite group of volleyball professionals, athletes gained valuable expertise across every aspect of their game.
A Holistic Approach to Performance and Confidence
The 2026 camp experience extended beyond traditional training. Athletes participated in a bra fitting & education session, led by UA women’s marketing and biomechanics experts, designed to help each athlete find her optimal fit for performance and comfort.
This integration of education, product innovation, and competition reflects Under Armour’s commitment to female athletes, demonstrating how proper support and fit can directly impact movement, confidence, and performance.

At its core, the JT Rise Academy remains rooted in its mission to empower athletes through access, education, and mentorship.
