In 2020, Under Armour Run will celebrate a few of the highly anticipated marathons across the globe with special colorway drops of the UA HOVR Machina. The first drop coincides with the Ascension Seton Austin Marathon on February 16, whose route follows major murals around the city. The graphic on the UA HOVR Machina ATX colorway takes shades of bold blue and cheerful yellow from the famous “Greetings from Austin” mural, welcoming visitors to the capital of Texas.
This first UA HOVR Machina marathon colorway drop is particularly special to Under Armour for a few reasons. The team that spearheads the connected experience, including MapMyRun™ and MyFitnessPal, are mostly based at the UA office in the heart of Austin. Much of the research and development for the connected experience, including the latest introduction of real-time Form Coaching, took place at this location.
Additionally, for the third year in a row, Under Armour is the presenting sponsor and the official apparel and footwear provider of the Austin Marathon. This course offers runners a chance to tour one of the top running cities in the country, with a finish line in front of the picturesque Texas State Capitol. The race annually attracts runners from all 50 states and 30+ countries around the world, and is a top choice for early-season racing. Learn more about the race here.
The Austin Marathon UA HOVR Machina colorway is available now on ua.com. Stay tuned for the next colorway drop for the Tokyo Marathon, coming later this month.
