Under Armour's commitment to developing the sport of basketball across China now includes a long-term partnership agreement with the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). Under Armour is now the official sponsor and exclusive uniform, apparel and footwear provider of all national 3x3 basketball teams, including the new World Cup Champion women's team.
Together with the CBA, Under Armour will work to grow the influence of and participation in 3x3 basketball. The sport is inspired by several forms of international street ball, and competition includes two teams of three players who face off on a basketball half-court. Official 3x3 basketball is governed by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), which also organizes all 3x3 international competitions.
On June 23, 2019, the women's team made history by winning the inaugural FIBA 3x3 World Cup, held in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Players Li Yingyun, Zhang Zhiting, Wu Di and Jiang Jiayin wrapped up a perfect 7-0 campaign with a 19-13 victory over Hungary.

On June 29, teammates Li Yingyun and Zhang Zhiting were present at the 2019 Under Armour Basketball Asia Tour and showcased their on-court skills alongside Under Armour basketball athletes Stephen Curry, Joel Embiid, Dennis Smith Jr. and Mo Bamba. Other special guests from the China men’s and women’s 3x3 U23 basketball teams included Yan Peng and Wang Haimei, who also took part in the day’s activities to the delight of local basketball fans.
