Three professional women’s basketball powerhouses join Under Armour to help grow the game and increase access to sport.

As the confetti settles on a record-breaking women’s college basketball season and the WNBA season tip off gets underway, Under Armour is keeping the momentum of women’s basketball on fire both on and off the court. As part of its continued commitment to growing the game, Under Armour is proud to welcome three new players to the brand with the signing of No. 2 overall WNBA draft pick Diamond Miller of the Minnesota Lynx, 2022 NCAA Champion and eigth selection in the WNBA draft, Laeticia Amihere of the Atlanta Dream, and proven pro sharp shooter and former NCAA Champion, Marina Mabrey of the Chicago Sky. Together, Under Armour will work side-by-side with these three game-changing athletes to help advance the game.

Diamond Miller Signs with Under Armour

WELCOME, DIAMOND MILLER, GUARD, MINNESOTA LYNX

All the grueling practices, early morning workouts and late-night film sessions finally paid off for Diamond Miller when she heard her name called as the second overall pick in this year's WNBA Draft. Raised in a close-knit family of basketball players and establishing herself as the face of Maryland women’s basketball over the last four years, it was never a question that Diamond was destined for greatness. Fresh off her attendance at the Kelsey Plum Dawg Camp, Diamond is looking forward to not only crushing it on the court with Minnesota, but also teaming up with UA to give girls coming up in the sport the resources they need to succeed.

“It means so much to me to partner with Under Armour and to Protect This House. There’s something special happening in women’s sports right now, and it’s clear to see that UA is all in to help create change. As a female athlete with a passion for growing the game, this partnership was right up my alley.”

WELCOME, LAETICIA AMIHERE, FORWARD, ATLANTA DREAM

Coming off a championship-winning collegiate career with the South Carolina Gamecocks, Laeticia Amihere has her eyes on the prize as she heads into her first WNBA season. Considered the ultimate team player by fellow teammates and fans alike, Laeticia was a key defensive asset and one of the most versatile athletes in the NCAA this past season. She will continue to show off her raw athleticism on the court as she competes for Atlanta and Team Canada. A natural born leader, Laeticia is passionate about using her platform to impact the lives of young girls and now by teaming up with Under Armour, the sky’s the limit.

WELCOME, MARINA MABREY, GUARD, CHICAGO SKY

Marina Mabrey has established herself as a proven starter and game changer as a professional athlete, averaging over 13 points per game in the last two seasons. Fresh off an Italian league championship victory in which she scored 37 points and was named the MVP of the finals, Marina is looking forward to a fresh start with Chicago this season. In addition to her on-court plans, Marina is eager to get to work with Under Armour, bringing her international basketball experience to this partnership and focusing her efforts on opening doors to youth in the sport.

Diamond, Laeticia and Marina truly embody the Protect This House mentality, and their relentless pursuits of victory not only make them integral members of their teams, but inspirations to basketball players everywhere. Under Armour is proud to support these fearless female leaders as they armour up for the coming season and continue to work together to break down barriers and provide access to basketball to girls across the globe.
