Running, Simplified: the UA Speedpocket

According to a 2017 study, more than 90% of runners run “connected.” We use our phones to track our runs, capture photos of the trail, listen to music or answer a call, and sometimes even for safety reasons on those late evenings when we still need to get in a workout.

Until now, though, running with your phone has been cumbersome and awkward – armbands can be difficult to access and phones tend to bounce around in loose pockets. If it’s rainy or humid outside, forget it.

These obstacles inspired Under Armour to develop the Speedpocket – a seamless, expandable pocket that sits front and center for ease of access. The pocket is completely waterproof, keeping your phone protected from rain and sweat. What’s more, your phone stays snug inside the waistband, eliminating bouncing no matter how fast you’re cruising.

The thin, elongated pocket expands up to 7 inches to fit different-sized phones perfectly. Each Speedpocket style also has a traditional back-zip pocket for keys, gels and other essentials.

Gone are the days of fanny packs, ziplock bags and stuffing your phone into your sports bra – embrace the Speedpocket and simplify your runs.

The Speedpocket feature can be found in a variety of Under Armour Run’s shorts and tights this Fall, including the Coldgear Reactor Windstopper tights and pants, and the UA Outrun The Storm leggings for both men and women. Speedpocket styles are available on ua.com.
