Thank You, Oakland

Stephen Curry Celebrates a Decade in The Town

Stephen Curry has experienced momentous victories, broken countless records, and even suffered crushing losses in the past decade. His journey has been a roller coaster ride, and many ask, “What keeps him going?” The answer is simple: The Town, a constant in Stephen’s life, and his unbreakable will to persevere.

Oakland has given Stephen so much – spirit, resolve, determination – but most importantly, it's home to the incredible people that make his earth-shattering performances possible. The Curry 6 Thank You, Oakland colorway is a celebration of these individuals that grind day in and day out, staying true to themselves and their community; the real heartbeat of The Town and everything it represents.

"This is our take on ‘Town Business'. These are true, traditional Oakland colors, celebrating The Town who supported us through thick and thin over the past 48 years."

Dressed in a black, fully knit upper, this Curry 6 flaunts yellow accents to match the Golden State Warriors now-iconic jerseys. The full-length HOVR midsole is emblazoned with “OAKLAND," immortalizing The Town and its fans, while the entire shoe rides atop a solid rubber outsole for unparalleled traction. The full-length speed plate underfoot keeps Curry on the balls of his feet, allowing him to blow past defenders with ease, while the external heel counter keeps him stable.

The Under Armour Curry 6 Thank You, Oakland colorway releases May 31, 2019 on UA.com, at UA Brand Houses, and at select retail partners for $130 USD. Limited pairs of the new colorway are available now, exclusively at the SC30 x Oakland pop up shop located at 472 9th Street in downtown Oakland. The pop-up is open 12-7 PM PT Friday through Sunday and during all Warriors' game days during the NBA Finals, from 12 PM PT until the end of the game.

This one is for all of the often-overlooked people that make hometown Warriors games an incomparable experience – one for which Oracle has become legend. Thank you, Oakland.
