HAVOC RETURNS

Joel Embiid, Dennis Smith Jr., and Mo Bamba Introduce the Under Armour HOVR Havoc II in Beijing, China

Amidst a whirlwind of cultural experiences and sport activations, the 2019 UA Basketball Asia Tour also marks the introduction of the HOVR Havoc II, the follow up to one Under Armour's most popular basketball shoes - the HOVR Havoc.

The HOVR Havoc II is the ultimate basketball shoe for comfort and a responsive ride, thanks to the UA HOVR cushioning system, and is designed with attributes to support the broadest range of player styles. In an age where basketball has become positionless, the HOVR Havoc II is perfect for the modern game, with the right amount of stability in the upper and a lower profile to allow for flexibility and range of motion.

“My first reaction to the shoe was that the comfort level felt unlike any other basketball shoe I’ve worn. Total, all around foot comfort. I couldn’t wait to put in work in them on-court.”

UA HOVR cushioning from the heel to the forefoot provides best-in-class responsiveness and energy return. A propulsion plate provides arch support and stability in the midfoot, and extends  to the forefoot for a responsive, springy ride. The shoe’s rubber outsole uses a multi-directional traction pattern - herringbone supports lateral and linear movements, while a radial pattern on the forefoot provides great traction.

The HOVR Havoc ll evolved from the original HOVR Havoc with a softer, more cushioned ride and full rubber coverage on the sole. The midsole wraps higher for increased stability, while flex grooves built in to the midsole translate underneath the foot - support and flexibility work together for maximum on-court efficiency and responsiveness. The underfoot experience is built for comfort, which UA HOVR cushioning delivers without adding weight, a must for perimeter players. The upper is comfortable yet durable, to ensure a premium game experience for even the biggest frontcourt players who spend 40 minutes a night going hard in the post.

“The best part of the shoe for me is the full-length UA HOVR midsole. It’s really bouncy. People kinda know me for my jumping ability and even after playing for hours the shoe still feels responsive underfoot which I love. It has really great traction, too.”

The HOVR Havoc II was officially introduced in Beijing, China by Joel Embiid, Dennis Smith Jr., and Mo Bamba. The shoe retails for $120 USD and is available for purchase on UA.com, at Under Armour Brand Houses and with select retail partners.
