The sqUAd Bids Farewell to Asia as 2019 UA Basketball Tour Comes to an End

The 2019 UA Basketball Asia Tour has been full of masses of passionate fans and unforgettable moments on the court. This tour marked the first time the sqUAd showed out together on tour in Asia, to showcase a variety of skill sets and personalities, and spotlight the strength of the Under Armour basketball roster.

Stephen Curry, Joel Embiid, Mo Bamba and Dennis Smith Jr. stopped by the Under Armour Brand House on Huaihai Road to introduce the UA Curry 6 Roaracle colorway and UA HOVR Havoc II to fans in Shanghai. They also had some fun recapping their experiences across China during the tour to date and answering questions from fans via a gachakon machine.

The city also turned into a battleground to see which Under Armour coaching duo - Stephen Curry and Mo Bamba or Joel Embiid and Dennis Smith Jr. - would reign supreme with top high school players from across Beijing and Shanghai. The high schoolers competed in front of their coaches - and 5,000 consumers - in various skills challenges including a 3x3 run, a dunk contest, 3 point contest and the finale - a 5x5 showcase in which each of the pro coaches joined in on the competition. Players from the Chinese FIBA 3x3 team joined in for the skills challenge and presented an award to Embiid and Smith Jr.'s team for winning the 3x3 contest. Overall, the evening's event offered a fitting farewell for the UA family following an unforgettable week.

A successful 2019 Asia tour showed the world that the Under Armour basketball roster is better and deeper than ever - led by the iconic Stephen Curry, he is driving the next generation of hungry superstars to support the Under Armour ethos of making athletes better. And over a whirlwind few days across Asia, thousands upon thousands of fans witnessed how to make themselves better and have fun doing it with the power of WILL and the most innovative basketball apparel and footwear on the planet.
