Under Armour Celebrates International Women’s Day by Launching a New Collection in Support of Girls in Sport

In honor of this year’s International Women’s Day, Under Armour is debuting the UA International Women’s Day Collection. The beautiful and powerful products feature the purple and yellow colors of the mimosa flower, a symbol of International Women’s Day typically given to women as a sign of respect and appreciation.

“Our team was beyond excited to work on this collection. We have a talented group of women who drove this project forward across design, development and product. It’s important to our team that we continue to educate ourselves and each other so we are informed allies within the doors of UA and beyond.”

Katie Lau, Director of Footwear, Versatile at Under Armour

In conjunction with the launch of the new collection, Under Armour is proud to partner with women's organizations that work to empower the next generation of female athletes by providing more opportunities and access for girls to start and stay in sport. Through these partnerships, we are working to champion equality in sport and create an inclusive community for all athletes. “Girls are dropping out of sports earlier and at two times the rate of boys. Under Armour is committed to making all athletes better, so it is our responsibility to ensure we are a part of the solution. This means we must invest in quality sport programs focused on young female athletes, to encourage their participation in sport throughout their teenage years as a vehicle to enhance their skills and build confidence to achieve both their athletic and personal goals throughout their lives," says Stacey Ullrich, Head of Global Philanthropy at Under Armour.

“At Good Sports, we know that sports unlock lifelong benefits for girls, like increased confidence, improved classroom performance, new friendships and leadership experience. It is our mission to create more opportunities for girls to play sports, and we are thrilled to partner with like-minded companies like Under Armour that share our belief in the power of sport.”

Christy Keswick, Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer of Good Sports

The UA International Women’s Day Collection features a special edition UA Multi Hair Cap, tanks, bras, bottoms, a special edition HOVR Sonic 3, and a Curry 7 IWD colorway. The collection is available at UA.com and at Under Armour brand houses.
